AGM Photography

Ashley Bott, a new Friend of Priory Park, supported the Committee for our AGM. Ashley designed the event programme and attended on the day to take photographs. If you would like to see more of his pictures from the event, click HERE to view them - click on a small thumbnail to see a larger version of a picture. He is a pleasure to have as part of the team. If you would like to see the depth of his talent or contact him direct (he is available for commissioned pieces of work!) go to http://www.ashley-bott.com.

Picnic in the Park

Don't forget that the Picnic in the Park now takes place on 28th June between 11:00am and 2:00pm. The weather on the original date was dreadful, resulting in it having to be cancelled, but at present the forecast for 28th is much more promising.

Central Avenue

The central avenue at the north end of the park, leading to and from the Pavilion, is looking superb at present, with roses in bloom and the trees are a wonderful colour and shape.

Competition Winners to be announced at our AGM on Saturday 21 June 2014, 2pm Priory Park Pavilion

We had an outstanding response to our recent drawing competition!

95 children from Priory Primary School entered, after visiting the Park to draw their favourite Flora and Fauna. We have had some fabulous pictures - thank you to everyone who joined in.

Entries were separated into age categories, and the judges had a difficult task choosing 3 winners and 3 runners up. The winners will be awarded their certificates and prizes by the Mayor, Cllr Margaret Aston. Come along and share this special moment with these talented young artists - Saturday 21st June, 2pm in the Pavilion in Priory Park.
Below: the original invitation to enter the competition.
PS: Don't forget the AGM itself on 21st June, and the other things going on in the Park that day.

Your webmaster adds that, if I have permission to do so, I would like to put some of the winning pictures on this web site after the event.

Due to the very bad weather which is expected on 7th of June this event is being postponed - the new date will be 28th June.

Don't forget the Picnic in the Park event on Saturday 7th June, between 11:00am and 2:00pm. Bring your own picnic lunch, your friends, your family, your neighbours, and of course a picnic rug (and an umbrella and waterproofs might be advisable if the weather is against us).
